Based on recent data, the count of centenarians in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.

Between 2004 and 2024, the number of male individuals reaching 100 has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the number of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.

We are keen to listen to those aged 100 or over, their loved ones or friends, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s major happenings and changes.
