Two Men Accused for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.

Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
